Welcome

I am a passionate photographer, although I am just at the beginning of this path. I actually started taking photography seriously in spring 2006, about a year and a half before launching this website. It all started with a small, compact digital camera - Canon S2 IS - and a set of Close-up lenses, with which I was able to get closer to smaller animals. A year later, I moved on to the dSLR category and from that point, the horizon of my photo subjects has expanded greatly. In this gallery you will be able to see images taken both with my old S2 and with my new Canon 400D.

What also drew me to photography was my great interest in animals. I am actually a biologist, right now undergoing my masters in Ecology and hoping to start my PhD in Zoology soon. My main field of interest in Herpetology - the study of reptiles and amphibians - , but I often find myself reading and learning more and more about some insects, too.
